Hello Wolf Clan,

2017 is gone and today marks the 2nd week of 2018. This is the time of year where new fitness resolutions are made. So, what are your new year resolutions? Is it to lose weight? Gain muscle weight? To eat and be healthy?

According to business Insiders, 80% of new year resolutions fail by February. According to Forbes, only 8% of people achieve their new year resolutions.

So, how can you be a part of the 8% instead of the 80%? Well, I have some advice you for you.

First, keep it, simple guys!! Instead of putting a huge goal in front of you. Start with a small goal and each time you accomplish a goal, set up a new one. For example, instead of saying "I'm going to lose 20 pounds" start small like 5 pounds and once you lose that, then go for another 5 more pounds. Before you know it, you're going to lose the 20 pounds. Don't put too much pressure on yourself.

Second, I have been asked What's Best program/diet? to lose weight and/or gain muscle.My answer is simple, the best program/diet is the one you do every day. The magical word that brings results is CONSISTENCY. Don't fall for the programs that promise you will lose 20 pounds in 20 days. Don't get caught up in the hype of the latest fat burner or mass gaining supplements. Those are just hyped up by a supplemental company that just want your money. A great starting point is to get a proper nutrition before jumping into any supplements. I typically recommend 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight minimum, 1 gram (lose weight) or 1.5 gram (gain weight) of carbs per pound of body weight. 0.5 grams of fat per pound of body weight. Start there and get a solid nutrition foundation.

 Lastly, be patient! It takes time and doesn't lose motivation when you don't see results in a day or a week. Everything good takes time, but with proper nutrition and a proper workout routine you can achieve your goal and be a part of the 8%.
